Early 50's Coca Cola Signage

A LITTLE HISTORY: These are from a small hot dog stand (that's what we called them back then) located at a busy bus stop/turnaround point commonly referred to as "The Key", not too far from Dodger Stadium in LA. I believe they are late 40's / early 50's vintage as I remember them being there as a child growing up in the 50's. Early in the 80's I bought these from the owner as it became obvious the building might not be standing much longer (within a year it was bull dozed over) and I didn't want to see these destroyed. They have been in my basement or garage ever since.

NUTS AND BOLTS: These are large (5.5' diameter), architectural quality signage pieces. Depth (back to front) is approx. 15". The fronts are plastic: the larger red oval is thick (approx. 1/4") plastic/plexi? with the 3D script in thinner white plastic that does have some cracking, but all pieces are intact. The plastic fronts fit into substantial "cans" made with reinforced galvanized metal that house the florescent lighting hardware. As these were mounted on the top of a building, they were built to last, I'm guessing they weigh 125-150 lbs each. MY HOPE: To find an appreciative home for these that might spend the time to restore these to their fully illuminated glory. I can really see these, as is, or restored in a restaurant or other large space creating a really cool, distinctive ambiance.

MY PRICE: $250 each firm
